YOU DON'T LOSE YOUR SKILL UNDER PRESSURE. YOU LOSE ACCESS TO IT.
SAME ATHLETE, ANYWHERE.
I'm Kate Elizabeth, mindset coach and host of The Champions Corner Podcast. This is a community where athletes, parents, coaches and the rest of the support team come to support the athlete becoming the same in competition as they are at training.
Follow The Journey
I've never competed a day in my life. Here's exactly why that's the point.
For sixteen years I was a property manager. Then a tournament in Sydney and a retreat in Bali cracked something open, and I walked away from a career to build The Champions Corner.
Eight years and hundreds of coaching hours later, one thing has stayed true: the gap between how someone performs at training and how they perform when it counts isn't a skill problem. Have you ever thought that maybe it's an identity problem?
My authority doesn't come from a black belt or a psychology degree. It comes from eight years as a life coach immersed in high performance, and from being the parent standing trackside while my own child learned the hard way that nerves don't care how many hours you've put in. My son now competes for Australia, so I've lived this gap from both sides of the fence.

MY PHILOSOPHY
"Whilst it takes a village to raise a child,
it takes a corner to create a champion."
No athlete gets there solo, and no single coach, parent or program
should carry it alone either. You need the athlete's whole
corner pulling the same direction, no egos, no lone wolves.
TEAMWORK MAKES THEIR DREAMS WORK.
The Champions Corner Method
Skill isn't lost under pressure
Access to it is. Train the wrong thing and you're just getting better at practice.
Nerves aren't the enemy
An unclear identity under pressure is. Fix the wiring, not the willpower.
Same athlete, anywhere
The goal isn't a different athlete on competition day. It's the same one, on purpose.
This Corner Has A Seat For You
THE ATHLETE
You're the one stepping up. Training tells you you're ready. Competition day has other ideas. This is where that gap closes.
THE PARENT
You're the one in the car park at 6am. You can't fix what's happening in their head from the sideline, but you can stop making it worse and start making it better.
THE COACH
You're the one building the program. Technique is covered. This is the piece most programs miss entirely, and we need to be on the same team.
The Champions Corner Podcast
Every week, conversations about the mental side of sport that nobody's having out loud. Pressure. Identity. Parents. Coaches. And the athletes caught in the middle of it all.
Real talk, not highlight-reel platitudes.
SAME ATHLETE, EVERYWHERE!
That's the whole promise. Not a new athlete. Not a braver one. The one who's already there, minus the wobble.
